🌍 Exciting Opportunity Alert: AGNES Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme (ECCF) for Kenyan Professionals! 🌱
Dear Fikia Family,
Are you passionate about making a difference in climate science, policy, and practice? Do you aspire to become a leader in addressing climate challenges facing Kenya and Africa? We're thrilled to announce the launch of the African Group of Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES) Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme (ECCF)!

About the Fellowship:
The ECCF offers talented young professionals from Kenya the chance to kickstart their careers at the intersection of climate science, policy development, and practice. As a Fellow, you'll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to diverse decision-making environments within the climate change landscape.
Aim of the Fellowship:
Our aim is to nurture Kenya's next generation of climate leaders by providing them with a deeper understanding of the climate science-policy-practice nexus. Through this programme, you'll have the opportunity to build an independent career and contribute meaningfully to addressing climate challenges.
Duration and Start Date:
The Fellowship will run for 6 months, from July 1st, 2024, to December 31st, 2024. Fellows will be expected to participate full-time.
Number of Fellowships Offered:
We're offering a maximum of 5 fellowships to outstanding candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Kenyan nationals aged not more than 28 years old
- Holders of at least a bachelor’s degree or above from any field
- Early career professionals with not more than two years’ experience since completing their degree
- Strong communication skills and a passion for climate science-policy-practice
- Motivated to work and learn in a multicultural environment
Benefits:
Selected Fellows will receive a stipend as per the AGNES’ Human Resources Manual.

- A cover letter outlining how your qualifications align with the ECCF programme
- An up-to-date CV
- Copies of all academic transcripts/degree certificates
