About WIPO Global Awards:

The annual contest is open to applicants from WIPO's 193 Member States across diverse economic sectors. Originally focused on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), the 2024 edition introduces a new category specifically for startups. Looking ahead, there are plans to include additional categories in future editions.

Eligibility Requirements:

To participate, your business must meet the following criteria:

1. A registered business entity with proof of registration.

2. Employing no more than 300 individuals.

3. Total annual sales of up to 15 million US dollars.

4. Holder of at least one registered intellectual property (IP) right.

5. Exporting products or services to at least one country.

Awards for Winners:

Winners of the WIPO Global Awards 2024 will enjoy a range of benefits, including:

1. Travel to Geneva to attend the Awards Ceremony and special events (funded according to WIPO’s rules).

2. A unique WIPO Trophy designed exclusively for this program.

3. Customized IP mentorship opportunities, tailored to the specific needs of the winners and their business background.
