Dear FIKIA Family,

We're thrilled to introduce the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program, a dynamic and globally diverse two-week academic summer experience that stands as one of the most renowned programs of its kind worldwide. This year, Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program is excited to welcome over 2,000 students hailing from 150+ countries and all 50 U.S. states.

YYGS prides itself on fostering a collaborative environment, where students engage in a rich curriculum that spans STEM, social sciences, humanities, and cross-disciplinary tracks. What sets YYGS apart is its commitment to inclusivity, distributing over $3 Million USD in need-based financial aid to domestic and international students.

Important Dates:

- Early Action: 11:59PM ET on November 1, 2023 (Passed)

- Regular Decision: 11:59pm ET on January 10, 2024 (Coming Up)

Why YYGS 2024?

1. Diversity in Learning:

• YYGS welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, creating a global melting pot of ideas.

• Participants delve into innovative topics, shaping discussions with international perspectives.

2. Financial Aid Opportunities:

• Over $3 Million USD in need-based financial aid is available for eligible students.

3. Academic Tracks:

• Choose from STEM, social sciences, humanities, or cross-disciplinary tracks.

Eligibility Criteria:

To ensure a smooth application process, please make sure to meet the following requirements:

• Age: 16-18 years old by July 21, 2024 (first day of Session III).

• English Fluency: Proficient in English for rigorous academic engagement.

• Grade Level: Current high school sophomore or junior.

• Graduation Date: Graduating in May/June 2025 or 2026 (Northern Hemisphere), or Nov./Dec. 2024 or 2025 (Southern Hemisphere).

• YYGS Participation: First-time participants only.

Important Application Note:

If you applied to YYGS previously but were not admitted or couldn't attend, you're encouraged to reapply for YYGS 2024 if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Sessions and tracks:

• Session I (June 23 - July 5): Innovations in Science & Technology, Literature, Philosophy, & Culture, Politics, Law, & Economics, Solving Global Challenges.

• Session II (July 7 - July 19): Continuation of the tracks from Session I.

• Session III (July 21 - Aug 2): The final opportunity for this year's YYGS experience.
